“Jacana” is a clean and well-equipped 2015 Cutwater C28 designed for practical cruising, fishing, and extended time on the water in the Pacific Northwest. Powered by a Volvo Penta D4 260HP diesel with 929 hours, this vessel offers a reliable and efficient single-engine platform, complemented by both bow and stern thrusters for confident docking and maneuvering.

This vessel is set up with dual helm stations, including a primary enclosed helm and an aft cockpit helm station controlling the main engine’s steering, throttle, and shifting. This configuration provides excellent visibility and control when docking or operating in tighter areas.

For fishing applications, the 2019 Yamaha 25HP high-thrust kicker is a strong addition. It is equipped with a dedicated throttle and shift control mounted along the port aft gunwale, allowing the operator to easily manage speed and gear engagement while working lines or fighting fish. This layout keeps control within reach without needing to return to the helm, making it a practical and effective setup for trolling.

The vessel has seen consistent upkeep and servicing. Routine maintenance such as zincs, oil changes, and fuel filters has been completed regularly. The engine coolers and turbo were removed and cleaned approximately two years ago, and a new steering pump was installed in the fall. The macerator was also replaced approximately two years ago.

At the helm, the electronics package includes a Garmin GPSMAP 7212 multifunction display, Garmin XHD radar, autopilot, and a Garmin VHF 200. The Fusion MS-IP700i stereo system provides Bluetooth connectivity and quality sound throughout the vessel.

For extended cruising capability, “Jacana” is equipped with a solar panel system and a five-battery 12V bank, supporting reliable onboard power. Ground tackle has been upgraded with an additional 100 feet of chain, improving holding capability at anchor.

Included is a Walker Bay WB-RID275 dinghy (approximately 9 feet) paired with a 2020 Suzuki 2.5HP four-stroke outboard.

A Honda EB2200i portable generator is also part of the package, producing approximately 1.8 kVA and providing reliable auxiliary power when needed.
