At low speeds, the boat can cruise quietly under electric power with the diesels completely shut down. When the diesels are running, the electric motors become generators and recharge the lithium battery bank while underway. This provides the flexibility of silent electric cruising around harbors and no-wake zones while retaining diesel power and range for longer trips.</p><p><br></p><p>Depending on speed, load and conditions, electric-only range can be roughly 20–30 nautical miles (23–35 statute miles) at displacement speeds.
