About Divan San

The 1991 Hunter Passage 42 is a proven two-cabin, two-head cruising design, known for its center cockpit layout and comfortable accommodations for both sailing and liveaboard use. With generous interior volume, a walk-through reverse transom with swim platform, in-mast furling mainsail, and roller-furling genoa, she is well-suited for cruising and extended time aboard.

Before finding this boat, the current owners had already chosen a name, Divan San, meaning “beautiful dream” in Croatian. Coincidentally, when they boat-shopped in 2021, they came across Bella Sogno, Italian for the same meaning. A fitting match.

With a fascinating history and only two prior owners, her journeys include a passage from Texas, through the Panama Canal, and across the Pacific to Australia and New Zealand. Notably, she also spent 15 years as a lake boat in McKinney, Texas before being transported overland to the East Coast. Under her current ownership, she has been cruised locally in the Southeast, with St. Simons Island as her home port. She is clean and ready to go, awaiting her next chapter.

The boat is currently docked in a marina that allows long-term stays. The slip is privately rented; assumability to be verified by the buyer.

Key Features & Highlights

Center cockpit design with excellent short-handed sailing setup, visibility and protection

Spacious aft owner’s cabin with walk-around centerline queen berth

Walk-through reverse transom with swim platform.

Hot/cold cockpit shower (starboard of swim platform)

Two-cabin, two-head layout; both heads include separate shower areas, with a tub in the aft head

Splendide 2000 washer/dryer

Harken 44 electric winch (starboard cabin top)

In-mast furling mainsail (2018), in good condition

Roller-furling genoa (serviceable) + lightly used storm sail setup

Whisker Pole, Traveller on arch

Two 16,000 BTU CruiseAir reverse-cycle air conditioning systems (2020)

Front and toploading fridge (previous freezer now dry storage)

Onan generator

Dodger, bimini, and isinglass in good condition

Cockpit cushions (2019) and upholstery in very good condition

Maxwell 800 electric windlass

55 lb plow anchor with approx. 300 ft of chain

Xantrex Freedom XC Pro 2000 inverter/charger (2022)

Seaward S600 6-gallon water heater

Electronics: Autohelm speed, wind, and depth instruments; Richie compass

VHF: Standard Horizon (nav station), Cobra handheld, B&G at helm

Cutlass bearing serviced (2023)

(4) Interstate GC2 75Ah deep-cycle house batteries + (1) start battery (Dec 2022)

Accommodations

The interior of Divan San is designed for comfort and functionality.
