About Off The Grid

The new Southerly 420 truly sails without limits. Designed for sailors who want both performance and freedom, she features a robust variable draft swing keel, twin rudders, and a smartly engineered rig and deck layout that make her powerful yet remarkably easy to handle.

At the heart of the design is Southerly’s signature lifting keel system. With the keel lowered to 8 feet 11 inches, the 420 delivers deep-draft performance for fast, confident offshore cruising. At the touch of a button, the keel raises to just 2 feet 9 inches, opening up shallow anchorages and hidden harbors that most yachts of her size simply can’t reach. A substantial grounding plate adds strength and versatility, giving you the confidence to explore almost any water.

Inside, the raised salon offers excellent visibility, a bright and open feel, and a practical two-head layout designed for comfortable cruising. The Southerly 420 blends innovation, seaworthiness, and luxury into one incredibly capable passagemaker.

2024 Southerly 420 Off the Grid Highlights:

Electric in-mast furling main

Self-tacking jib, Code 0, and a Tradewind Runner

(3) Electric winches

Water Maker

5 kVA Generator

Bow and Stern Thrusters

Solar: (2) 240-watt Renogy bi-facial solar panels and a 150/70 Victron charge controller (Oct. 2025)

Solar: (2) 110-watt soft walkable panels and a 100/30 charge controller (Oct. 2025)

CopperCoat antifouling

Full Raymarine Electronics Package

Aluminum Arch and Dinghy Davits (Oct. 2025)

Starlink Mini mount on the arch (Oct. 2025)

Resolute Yachting is pleased to assist you in the purchase of this vessel.
